This project involved works to a listed townhouse, located in the centre of the city. The owner's desire was to open up the ground floor areas which included cellular rooms with dark link corridors, to provide an open plan kitchen and family area. An island of handmade kitchen units divides the kitchen and dining areas with three openings formed in the rear gable affording natural light into the space. A bespoke, painted hardwood conservatory beyond opens out onto a lush garden. Although the alteration and extension works were fairly modest in scale, these enhancements have made an enormous difference to the way in which the owners use the rear of the property and the adjacent garden space.
